Read 1 Nephi 4:1 - 4:18
In v. 17 Nephi relates how Laban was delivered by the Lord into his hands. What difference would it have been to Nephi and his brothers had Laban not been delivered into his hands?
Elder Alexander B. Morrison said " Long ago, before the earth on which we now dwell came into existence, God our Father ... established a plan. ... [That] plan provided the perfect way for all of God's children to receive immortality and gain eternal life" ("Life - The Gift Each is Given," Ensign, Dec. 1998, 15-16).

Read Alma 12: 22-34 and look for how Alma refers to God's Plan. Now turn to 2 Nephi 9:6, Alma 24:14, Alma 34:9, Alma 42:8, D&C 22:1, D&C 45:9, D&C 66:2 and compare what these scriptures call God's plan.
What do all these names teach you about God's Plan? Why does the plan have these names?

What is central to redeem God's children? Reread Alma 12: 33-34.
