Principle: As you gain a testimony of Jesus Christ you have a responsibility to share it.
Read 1 Nephi 2:16-3:8
After Nephi was taught by the Lord he went and taught Sam, Laman, and Lemuel. What was the blessing promised to Nephi after sharing what he knew? When have you had an experience sharing your testimony? What was your experience and how did it compare to Nephi's?
Read or listen to and follow along "The Power of Personal Testimony" by Elder Dieter f. Uchtdorf (Ensign Nov 2006, 37-39.) Ponder the power that comes from a personal testimony.
Elder Uchtdorf teaches "The source of this sure knowledge and firm conviction is divine revelation, 'for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'" He also states, "We receive this testimony when the Holy Spirit speaks to the spirit within us." How can you invite the Holy Spirit to speak to your spirit today?
In the talk "Becoming a Witness of Christ" (Ensign, Mar. 2008, 60) Elder D. Todd Christofferson said "People should be able to see in us something of Jesus Christ. The way we act, speak, look and even think will reflect Him and His ways. ... Although we were not present with Him in His ministry, as we search the scriptures, we see Jesus and what he said and did. And as we emulate that pattern, we bear witness of Him"
How have you seen others bear witness of Jesus Christ through their actions?
What can you do today so that your witness and testimony of the Savior can have an impact on others?
