Day 196
- Principle: Parables are a great way to teach and learn today.
- Book of Mormon Reading: Alma 33:12 - 33:23
- What can you do to overcome the hardening of the heart to understand the words of the Lord?
- General Conference and LDS Magazines are often full of parables. Here are a few talks to consider:
- Today you have a chance to write your own parable. What is something you have learned in your life that has made a difference to you? No think of an experience or example that demonstrates and teaches that lesson.
- For example if you chose persistence as your topic you could use how a river, over time, creates the Grand Canyon.
- Lastly write down your parable and give it a name.
- From the previous example: The Parable of the Grand Canyon.
- If you get stuck review the parables listed above for some ideas.
