Day 203
- Principle: All prophets throughout the ages were completely dependent upon the Lord.
- Book of Mormon Reading: Alma 37:26 - 37:42
- Many blessings come from learning to keep the commandments while young. Part of that learning is recognizing the dependence on the Lord. There are many examples of the Lord calling youth to be His Leaders:
- Joseph Smith was 14 years old (see Joseph Smith—History 1:7)
- Mormon was 15 years old (see Mormon 1:15)
- The Old Testament Samuel was still a “child” when called by the Lord (1 Samuel 3:1–10)
- Many blessings come from learning to keep the commandments while young. Part of that learning is recognizing the dependence on the Lord. There are many examples of the Lord calling youth to be His Leaders:
- What does John teach about dependence on the Lord? John 15:1-8
- In Moses 1:8-10, Moses recognizes his complete dependence.
- What about Ammon, Paul, and Nephi. Alma 26:11,12; Philippians 4:13; 2 Nephi 4:17-34
- Not only are prophets dependent on the Lord but each of us
- As you recognize your dependence on the Lord, what blessings are available to you?
