Day 287

  • Principle: Showing is the best way to teach your children about faith.

  • Book of Mormon Reading: 3 Nephi 5:20 - 6:18

    • The description of highways is interesting in chapter six.  This is because highways have been used to symbolize power of a city.  The more highways you control the more powerful you are as a ruler.  The symbolic nature of the highways being destroyed demonstrates the small power of man when compared to God.  How can you use this symbolism to maintain humility throughout your life?

  • Moving to a little more modern history today you will read about Lucy Mack Smith.  Lucy taught her family how faith works and how faith in Jesus Christ leads to miracles.  Her example and encouragement led directly to the first vision.
