Day 310
Principle: “With great mercies” the Lord will gather His covenant people.
Book of Mormon Reading: 3 Nephi 22:1 - 22:17
What does mercy mean to you? When have you extended mercy to another, how did it make you feel? When has someone extended mercy to you, how did it make you feel?
In verses 5 and 6 while quoting Isaiah the husband refers to the Lord and the woman is referred to as scattered Israel.
With this imagery in mind, what do the verses 7-10 teach you about the role of Jesus Christ in gathering you, and all people, to Him?
Verse 13 is a great guide in teaching your children
Patricia P. Pinegar taught: “The world is not a safe place. It is not a place where children will feel peace, hope, and direction unless they are taught to love and follow the Savior. Please help them know that these great blessings can be theirs, and show them what they need to do to receive these blessings” (in Conference Report, Oct. 1999, 85; or Ensign, Nov. 1999, 68).
How can you deepen your faith in the mercy of the Lord?
When you are having a rough day how can you trust in the Lord and His mercy for you?
