• Day 33
    • Doctrine: Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life." (John 14:6)
    • Read: 1 Nephi 21:22-22:10
      •  Gordon B. Hinckley taught:  “How thankful I am for the wonders of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It is indeed a marvelous work and a wonder, which has been brought to pass by the power of the Almighty in behalf of His sons and daughters. We of this season in His work can serve in a work of salvation in behalf of the whole human family, including all the generations of the sons and daughters of God who have lived upon the earth in past centuries. The work is true” (Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley [1997], 242).
      • How will the "marvelous work" bless all the "kindreds of the earth" (1 Ne. 22:9-10)?
    • James E. Faust taught about what a disciple is
      • “The word for disciple and the word for discipline both come from the same Latin root—discipulus, which means pupil. It emphasizes practice or exercise. Self-discipline and self-control are consistent and permanent characteristics of the followers of Jesus. … “What is discipleship? It is primarily obedience to the Savior” (“Discipleship,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2006, 20).

      • Read John 1:35–47 about the early disciples.  Why do people, including yourself and the early disciples, follow Jesus Christ?
    • Jesus Christ offers an invitation 2 Nephi 26:33 and Alma 5:33–34.  What is the invitation offered?  What are the blessings promised?
      • What do these blessings mean to you?
