• Day 84
    • Principle: By, through, and of Jesus Christ "[we] are begotten sons and daughters unto God.” (D&C 76:24)
    • Read: Jacob 5:70 - 5:77
      • Over these last 77 verses a lot of work is put in caring for and nurturing a vineyard.  Think of a time when you have cared for a nurtured a child, a loved one, a neighbor.  What can you learn from the constant care of the Lord?
    • Turn to D&C 76:24 and D&C 25:1.  What does the phrase "begotten sons and daughters unto God" mean?
      • King Benjamin gave a discourse on the life changing power of Jesus Christ.
      • Read in Mosiah 2–5 and look for various answers to the following two questions.
        • What were the people of King Benjamin willing to do?
        • What were the results of their actions?
    • What must you be willing to do to become a begotten son or daughter unto God?
    • Joseph Fielding Smith taught
      • “The Savior becomes our Father … because he offers us life, eternal life, through the atonement which he made for us. …

“… We become the children, sons and daughters of Jesus Christ, through our covenants of obedience to him” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 1:29).
