Principle: Faithfully following the Lord leads to being supported in times of trial.
Read: Omni 1:12 - 1:30
What message is taught about being a follower of Christ? What does the phrase "whole soul" mean to you? What are the results this offering unto the Lord?
There is two main purposes for keeping a journal. To remember the good and learn from the bad.
In April 2009 M. Russell Ballard said
There is a famous saying attributed to George Santayana. You’ve probably heard it: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” (in John Bartlett, comp., Familiar Quotations, 15th ed. [1980], 703). There are, in fact, several different variations of this quote, including “Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it.” Regardless of the exact language, the sentiment is profound. There are great lessons to be learned from the past, and you ought to learn them so that you don’t exhaust your spiritual strength repeating past mistakes and bad choices. You have been invited to keep a journal during your time in this study course. Today is a completion of four weeks and time to review what you have learned.
Take some time today to scan back through what you have written down.
Take a moment longer to ponder a verse of scripture that stuck out to you.
Reread a testimony you have written down.
Every four weeks you will have a review day to help deepen your understanding of the things you have learned in the past.
If you are not keeping a journal you are invited to start one today. Your first entry should be your testimony of Jesus Christ and why you choose to follow Him.
If you have nothing to review at this time go back and read some of the talks you have missed in the additional study sections.
