All things were made by him, John 1:3 (1:14; Col. 1:16–18).
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me, John 6:38 (3 Ne. 27:13).
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
13 Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you—that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me.
Son of man should be glorified, John 12:23 (3 Ne. 11:11).
23 ¶ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.
glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee, John 17:1.
