    • All things were made by him, John 1:3 (1:14; Col. 1:16–18).

      • 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

      • 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

      • 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

    • not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me, John 6:38 (3 Ne. 27:13).

      • 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

      • 13 Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you—that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me.

    • Son of man should be glorified, John 12:23 (3 Ne. 11:11).

      • 23 ¶ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

      • 11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.

    • glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee, John 17:1.

      • 1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
