Christ also hath once suffered for sins, 1 Pet. 3:18.
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
he is the propitiation for our sins, 1 Jn. 2:2 (4:10).
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
