Competition is the best entertainment.

I love sports. I can watch about any head to head compatition. It could be the NFL or two flies walking up a wall.

I’d tell a story about how the fly on the left is coming back from an injury inflicted by a raging mother of two with a flyswater. The one on the right is the reigning champ who has such confindence as to stand on your picnic plate WHILE YOU ARE EATING and not fly off.

The stories told and the character that is developed through sports or any competition are the best. It is an obvious way to measure progress, you can know exactly where you stand. That level of exacting feedback is what drives improvement.

Its easy to turn away from competing and argue that losing can be demoralizing. The truth is people lose all the time, a bad day is a loss it’s what you do after that matters.

But most of all compatition is the best way to push yourself. The only commotion is your desire to be better than yesterday. It doesn’t make for a great tv show because the internal is difficult to record but that is the main goal.

Be better and enjoy watching others compete.
