• Jesus Christ, Atonement through

  • author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey, Heb. 5:9.

    • 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

  • this he did once, when he offered up himself, Heb. 7:27.

    • 27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

  • Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, Heb. 9:28.

    • 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

  • Christ also suffered for us, 1 Pet. 2:21.

    • 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

  • his own self bare our sins, 1 Pet. 2:24.
