  • Jesus Christ, Atonement through

    • Christ also hath once suffered for sins, 1 Pet. 3:18.

      • 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

    • blood of Jesus … cleanseth us from all sin, 1 Jn. 1:7.

      • 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

    • he is the propitiation for our sins, 1 Jn. 2:2.

      • 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

    • he was manifested to take away our sins, 1 Jn. 3:5.

      • 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

    • sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins, 1 Jn. 4:10.

      • 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
